LILA is a visionary and sacred art website. ‘Lila’ is Sanskrit for ‘Cosmic Play’, the universe experienced as arising from the joyous love play and creative adventures of the Divine.
The mission of the Lila project is to explore the emergence of a contemporary sacred and visionary art within the context of global culture.
Lila is also a means to facilitate and strengthen the community of artists and art lovers who orientate around a sacred vision.
Lila also exists as a well-organised resource for researchers and explorers of art, history, culture, mysticism and shamanism.
The website was created by painter and writer Daniel Mirante in 2000 ad as a resource for people exploring ‘medicine culture’ ; shamanic forms of creativity and healing of the whole being, including visionary or sacred art, breathwork, rebirthing and plant-based entheogenic practices.

Feeling the need to contribute transformative images of beauty to the collective imagination, my imagery would develope an implicit antithesis to H. R. Giger's artwork. I felt driven to show in my work the liberation of the body and soul out of the dark depths of decay and perverse eroticism. By sublimating the erotic towards an angelic sensuality and by using ascension and rebirth symbolism, a sacred eros would emerge as the predominant theme of my work.
Not the erotic as simply the sexual, but as our bodily communion with the living flow and rhythms of energy. I can feel this primordial living energy flow through me as I paint, forming into the sensual movement of a transfiguring biosophic flame that flows through and around the figures in my imagery, suspending them in an ecstatic moment, an eternal dance poised on the threshold of a new birth. It is the archetypal dance of the sphere and the serpentine movement of form. The dance of the spermatozoa and the ovum, the serpent and the egg, the dragon and the pearl and the life giving waters of the comet and the sacred ground of the earth.

Fernando Meirelles vai colaborar com Marina

A senadora Marina Silva (PV-AM) e o cineasta Fernando Meirelles trabalharão juntos em 2010. A princípio, não para a campanha de Marina à Presidência da República, mas na produção de conteúdos do site do Instituto Democracia & Sustentabilidade, a ser lançado em março de 2010. No comando da produtora paulistana O2, Meirelles é o diretor dos longas Ensaio sobre a Cegueira, Jardineiro Fiel e Cidade de Deus. Está há cerca de duas semanas trabalhando na idealização e produção de conteúdo televisivo para o instituto, cujo conselho diretor Marina integra. O objetivo do instituto é juntar as propostas sobre sustentabilidade que circulam nas redes sociais. Meirelles foi convidado, a princípio, sem nenhum vínculo formal. Segundo a assessoria de Marina, o cineasta faz o trabalho voluntariamente, sem remuneração. "Ele está contribuindo com ideias, discutindo, não é contratado", afirma Beto Ricardo, também integrante do conselho, que garante não haver ligação entre o projeto e o PV. "Não é algo que está sendo feito por conta das eleições. Haverá continuidade do espaço após o período eleitoral". O projeto estreita as relações de Marina e Meirelles. Este, por reiteradas vezes, se mostrou simpático à eventual candidatura da senadora à Presidência. Recentemente, ao comentar a repercussão dasérie de televisão Som & Fúria, que codirigiu para a Rede Globo, Meirelles arrumou um jeito de falar de sua admiração pela senadora: "O (presidente) Lula que me desculpe, mas Shakespeare é que é o cara,depois vem a Marina Silva, depois não sei mais".
